When you contact us through our online form, we retain your contact details and message as provided by you, including the date and time of the message transmission.
When you subscribe to our news, we retain any information that you provide at the time of subscription, in our mailing tool database. We also receive an email confirmation of your subscription and retain that in our email records - your email address. We also retain a record of further actions such as unsubscribing from the mailing list.
When you register to use our site, we retain any information that you provide at the time of registration, in our user database and subscription database as detailed above. We also receive an email confirmation of your registration, and retain that notification in our email system, consisting of your username and email address. We also retain a record of further actions such as unsubscribing from the mailing list. We also receive a simple notification when a user changes their password but we do not have access to your password at any time.
Comments and forum
When you make a comment on a video, or within the user forum, this comment and your identity is retained in our database, for the proper function of the website. We do not receive notifications of these actions but we have access to them in the backend and front end of the website, as well as the ability to search for comments and posts by users. We do not receive notifications when comments or posts are deleted.
When you provide a rating of a video, this is stored in the database for proper function of the website. We have access to all ratings through the backend, by post or by user, including the name of the user, the rating they gave, the post that they rated, the date/time of the rating and the hashed host/IP that was used to make the rating. These details are not publicly accessible.
When you upload/post a video on the site, the details of the post are stored in the database for proper function of your channel and of the site gallery etc. We do not receive notification of any interaction or creation of such posts, including deletion.
When you download a video from the site, we are not notified. However a record of each download, for count purposes, is kept and a detailed log is automatically generated and kept on the database, consisting of who made the download (if known), from which IP, the date, the country, the useragent (browser, for spam control purposes) and ‘referral URL’ (which web page was used to access the download).
Direct messaging members
When you use our direct messaging system to contact other members, the message is directed to their personal email address as identified in their registration details. We are not notified and data about such transmissions, which is temporarily auto-stored on our web server, is automatically deleted on a daily basis. We do not inspect these records.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
